Let me first say, I love what I do! I am continually amazed by the internal transformation that occurs when an individual begins to dream beyond the boundaries of what has been, into what could be.
I received my BA in 1998 from Western Washington University and spent a few years working for a non-profit organization and reconnecting with myself; establishing a sense of purpose and direction. I was trained in the art of counseling psychology at the Seattle School of Theology and Psychology, Seattle, WA (MACP, May 2006). My studies focused on the psychodynamic, existential and object relations approaches to therapy. I am currently a licensed mental health counselor in the state of Washington (LH 60345513).
It is my strong belief that relationships are at the core of most struggles. It is through a safe, trusted relationship where one can begin to experience healing and the possibility of transformation. This occurs during the counseling process as one becomes more aware of themselves, their personal style of relating and how they take in the world around them. It is through the counseling relationship that one is invited to observe oneself differently and begin living into a sense of inner peace that emerges as one begins to know and respect themselves.
